Fertilize Your Farm ...Sponsor a Website In Your Sub-Division

new berlin sign  We live in a sub-division of 110 homes that has an association and the Board sends out a newsletter quarterly.  The dues are used to maintain the common areas and occasionally there are events that homeowners participate in...rummage sales, summer parties, the annual meeting and officer elections.

We have sold a number of homes in Country Estates in New Berlin and decided to sponsor a website for the residents.  We have included a copy of the sub-division restrictions if anyone has a question about what rules and regulations may apply to them. Residents register and can choose to include just their name and address, may wish to add email and phone numbers or even a family portrait as a way of getting to know the neightbors...and the neighbors getting to know them

If people wish to post yard sales...the availability of a baby sitter or the need for someone to cut their lawn or plow snow, it can all be done by just sending the web"mistress" an email and  the material is posted.

It's easy to do....you need not be a webdesigner or graphic artist. First, we purchased a domain name from GoDaddy.com. We chose: CountryEstatesNB,com and shopped the various companies that offered websitrs specifically for subdivisions. Our goal was to have the site be user friendly, informational and at the same time, easy to maintain. We chose HoaSpace.com as our provider.  They offer a number of plans and the option to grow the site as more people participate.

We distributed a flyer to the paper boxes announcing the site with instructions on how to register.  The Board of the subdivision can also use the site to post announcements and minutes and need not be spending part of the treasury on printing and postage.

It's easy...informative...and residents will appreciate the informaion...everything from the weather forecast to recipes, homeowners' restrictions....whatever you choose to include in the site.

Meet your neighbors...exend a virtual handshake....and spread the local news...it's easy, enjoyable and a worthwhile way to be of service to the community.
