The main reason we are online is for our businesses. We communicate and connect through this network and we have respect for one another that surpasses the written word. If we all live by a daily moral code of healthy beliefs then we have no problem with taking it to the online level.
On our ActiveRain Real Estate Network, they gave us this ability to create a conversation by commenting about the article we are reading. More often than we would like we see many negative responses and retorts..... but it up to each individual as to how they handle it.
In light of those certain negative reads, we go forward with our blogging for business and bonding with our peers. We ignore those that tend to use this platform as their puffing up session by pointing at others but most tend to know that:
- FACE TO FACE: We ‘communicate’ the same online as we offline. WE show respect for others in the industry when talking with them face to face, so the same should apply online. RESPECT.
- ONLINE CONFLICT SOLUTION: We pick up the phone and discuss the starting of an online argument. Others choose to write about it online, but it just shows that you just want people to side with you by trying to make it our arguement. PICK UP THE PHONE.
- PLAYING NICE IN THE SANDBOX. If you write negatively about a topic or person, expect the same in your comment section. Deleting opposing comments and then disabling comments does not make you right. DISH OUT ONLY WHAT YOU CAN HANDLE BACK.
- YOUR WAY OR THE HIGHWAY. It shows that you are not willing to see any opposing views or have a ‘conversation' with another. Step in another’s shoes and try to see their side. OPEN MIND.
- HAVING THE LAST SAY. It creates animosity and shows the rest of us that that individual clearly does not want the other person to be right. AGREE TO DISAGREE if all else fails.
