October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Think Pink
Cancer is a horrible disease and everyone knows someone that has it, has had it, or has died from it. October is Think Pink month, and here in Connecticut, there are events scheduled all month.
Breast Cancer is something that has hit close to home, as my wife has gotten ii in each breast on separate occasions, and has had cancer a total of 3 times, being free for almost 6 years now.
I have 2 female cousins that have had it, and even a slightly built male friend that has had double breast cancer. Yes, men can be afflicted as well.
I am one of the RE/MAX agents that contributes to the cure with each sale, and my wife will make the big walk later this month in Hartford at Bushnell Park on October 21.
If there is an event near you, take a few minutes to attend and make a donation, Maybe that dollar you give will help a researcher in their efforts, or someone that has the disease might just get the assistance they need.
