DEAR AGENT ~ YOUR KIDS ARE ADORABLE, BUT.....
I was returning a phone call to an agent this morning and when the voicemail came on, it was a cute little girl's voice. "Hi, this is my mommy's phone. Please leave a message." I quickly looked at the number to make sure that I correctly put in the number. It was correct but I wasn't even sure if this was the agent's number since it didn't identify her other than "mommy".
While this can be cute, for business purposes I just don't see the draw. I wonder how many clients she may have lost due to the same question, "Is this the agent's number?" Again, cute but certainly not effective.
It did give me pause to make sure that my voice mail is clear, gives them my name and company name. I certainly want my callers to know they have reached me. Losing business is not fun.
When someone calls you, your message should clearly say who you are, identify your company and a brief message. Don't lose business by failing to identify yourself! We love your kids, just don't have them answering your business phone.
"Have you fully lived today?"
